  • ANZAC Day 2017

    Every year on ANZAC Day, 25 April, The Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL) brings cities and towns across the nation together to honour the men and women who have served and continue to serve our great nation. On 25 April, and the week preceding, the RSL WA Branch is holding major commemorative events in Perth and around the state.

    Are you a first timer or do you just occasionally dabble in bushwalking? This is a great way to learn about what the Bibbulmun Track has to offer you. The walk (approx. 12km with some hills) takes you through mixed jarrah forest with views over the Mundaring Weir to a Bibbulmun Track campsite.

    Do you really know how to use a compass? Steve will guide you through a series of practical and theoretical exercises on and near the Bibbulmun Track in Mundaring on Sunday 23 April. Get Lost with Steve and you will have fun learning and perfecting basic map reading and compass skills.
  • York Motorcycle Festival 2017

    York | Dates: 23 – 23 Apr, 2017
    Stunt riders, demonstrations, FMX trials, market stalls and live music featured at the 2016 York Motorcycle Festival on Sunday 23 April. This free family event, packs the main street, attended by approximately 5,000 locals and visitors every year. Part proceeds support 'Wheels for Hope', a charity with 45 wheelchair hoist vans.
  • School Holiday Fun at the Duyfken 1606 Replica

    Fremantle | Dates: 23 – 23 Apr, 2017
    Get the children excited when they go aboard the Duyfken Replica for a short tour of the ship, where they will discover what life was like aboard a real Spice Trader ship. They will get to see, touch and interact with the sailing and navigational technology of the early 1600s that enabled Dutch mariners to sail halfway around the world.

  • ANZAC Day Dawn Service - Kings Park

    Kings Park, Perth | Dates: 25 – 25 Apr, 2017
    ANZAC Day is a solemn day of remembrance, gratitude and national pride. The Returned & Services League of Australia, Western Australia Branch Incorporated (RSLWA) hold an annual Dawn Service at the State War Memorial in Kings Park and Botanic Garden to pay respect to the men and women who have served and continue to serve our great nation.
  • Rottnest ANZAC Day Dawn Service

    Rottnest Island | Dates: 25 – 25 Apr, 2017
    Join Rottnest Island commemorate those who have served their country with a special dawn service on ANZAC Day, 25 April 2017 followed by a Gunfire Breakfast, free ANZAC themed activities for families and an Oliver Hill Gun & Tunnels tour. Ferry and tour packages are available through Rottnest Express and Rottnest Fast Ferries.
  • Perth Comedy Festival

    Northbridge & Subiaco | Dates: 26 Apr – 21 May, 2017
    Mixing international funny men and women with a carefully curated selection of local and national acts, the Perth Comedy Festival promises to deliver barrels of laughs with shows across multiple venues at the State Theatre Centre of WA in Northbridge and Subiaco's Regal Theatre, from 26 April - 21 May 2017.
  • Bibbulmun Track Over the Hill Walk for Beginners

    Near Kalamunda | Dates: 27 – 27 Apr, 2017
    Enjoy an introductory level return walk along the Bibbulmun Track on Thursday 27 April. An introductory level 8km return walk for the over-60s to a Bibbulmun Track campsite (near Mundaring) with an experienced guide. BYO lunch.
