This summer, Duyfken will be berthed at Elizabeth Quay, Perth from 30 November 2016 to 2 April 2017, Wednesday - Sunday from 1pm - 5pm. Once you step aboard, you will feel the way the ship connects the past with the present and the future.
Duyfken is a little ship that had such a big impact on the history of Australia, being recognised as the first European ship to make contact with the shores of Australia in 1606 - some 164 years before Captain James Cook and the British claim to Australia's history.
The ship will be closed to the public on Christmas Day, 25 December 2016. Visitors are taken in a group of 10 on an audio guided tour of the ship, which runs every 15 minutes, with the last tour at 4.30pm. Each tour runs for approximately 45 minutes.
Tickets can be purchased at the Duyfken kiosk near the ship. The ticket prices are as follows: adult $12.50, child (4-16 years) $ 5.00 (to be accompanied by an adult), seniors/concession $10.00, adult + Duyfken book $20.00 (saving of $7.50). Children under 4 years are welcome to enjoy a tour of the main deck ONLY, when accompanied by an adult who has purchased an adult ticket. Children 0-4 years old do not require a ticket.
