The Act-Belong-Commit heARTlines Children's Literature and Illustration Festival is back and bigger than ever in 2017! Biennially hosted by the Mundaring Arts Centre, this year's festival will be held at the re-invigorated Midland Junction Arts Centre from from Saturday 20 May to Wednesday 21 June.

The Perth International Jazz Festival (PIJF) makes its much anticipated return to the city for its fifth consecutive year, from Friday 26 May - Sunday 28 May 2017. Presented by Brookfield, over 40 incredible jazz performances will take place across various venues throughout Perth and York.
One of Australia's best-loved forums for literature, ideas and storytelling, Sydney Writers' Festival will stream its headline events from Roslyn Packer Theatre in Walsh Bay direct to Mandurah Performing Arts Centre from Friday 26 - Sunday 28 May 2017. Prepare to be stimulated and engaged by conversations, debates and discussions, as the Festival brings the world's finest authors to Mandurah in real time.
A fantastic walking and paddling weekend escape in Dwellingup, the Bibbulmun Track Ramble and Paddle offfers two adventures wrapped up in one weekend from 26 - 28 May. One street from happiness is an exhibition at the Fremante Arts Centre of experimental prints and paintings by urban artists Trevor Bly (WA) and Patrick Doherty (WA) which explores ideas of locality, identity, spirituality and historical conflict. Returning to the remains of the temporary mining camp located 1,651km from Perth that her family called home in the 1980s, video artist Claire Robertson transports her audience into the vast landscape of the WA outback in Far From Here at the Fremantle Arts Centre. Through a unique partnership, Right Wrongs: '67 Referendum explores the significance of this anniversary within the complex history of the ongoing struggle for Aboriginal rights in Western Australia. The exhibition will be held at the State Library of WA from 27 May - 3 September.
