Nic & Kolo, Melville
Nic & Kolo, Applecross

Being a very cold winter makes it hard to want to go out in search of new and exciting places to eat in Perth. So, to save you the hassle, we have selected a few spots that we think are worth your time and money.

To keep things fun, we have chosen our long-time favourites, the newest hotspots and some pop-up options to suit any dining style. So now your biggest question is: Where to eat in Perth this winter?

New Restaurants

Nic & Kolo

Nic & Kolo is backed by the great Nick Trezise, Head Chef and creative food genius, who builds his menu with fresh, invigorating elements that inspire his taste buds. This Applecross eatery is rated highly for its surprising combinations of food and fun. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Nic & Kolo offers you plenty of opportunities to try their food. Be warned: you may never want to leave.

Highgate Drink & Dine

Hard to describe but easy to remember, Highgate Drink and Dine presents a complex array of flavors balanced meticulously on each plate. Described best as Mexican and Caribbean food, the menu is made up a what’s what of local meats, veggies and fruits. The next time you're not sure where to eat in Perth, think of Highgate Drink & Dine for some spontaneous food from a spontaneous chef.

Tried and True

Feral Brewery

Feral Brewery is an oldie and a goodie. Known for its extensive beer list and warm winter shares, there's plenty of great reasons to make Feral's a day-cation. Choose from dishes like "trussed pork belly", "roast root veggies" and "beef-fat potatoes" (if you can) and pair with some tasty beers for an afternoon feast.

Miami Bakehouse

Miami Bakehouse is synonymous with trips to and from the south Western Australia region. It might not look like much, but this bakery holds the key to happiness in their pies and pastries. Located in Mandurah, Melville and on the Forrest Highway, Miami Bakehouse is famous in Perth for its meat pies and decadent cream-filled anything.

Pop-Ups & Food Trucks

SAY CHEESE!

Hosted by The Bell Tower, the SAY CHEESE! Pop-up restaurant combines the best of two worlds: cheese and canapes. Chef Cimon Reid will be designing canapes to match the different cheese styles for the ultimate degustation experience. This is a wine and cheese night with a twist that is best when shared with a group of friends.

When: 5th August 2016 @6.30pm
Where: The Bell Tower, Riverside Drive, Perth
Cost: $125 per person

Uncle Chops Smokehouse

American style burgers are all the rage with places like Varsity and Johnny's Burger Joint gaining major followers. But there's just something about Uncle Chops Smokehouse that sets it apart, making it one of the best places to eat in Perth this winter. Maybe it's the fact that it could be gone tomorrow that's so appealing, or it could be the delicious smoked BBQ ribs, juicy burgers and mounds of hot chips that cause foodies to stalk this food truck.

When & Where: Check their Facebook page for live feeds on where they will be each day.
