Cruising Perth

Fremantle welcomes thousands of cruise passengers every year from small ships to world-class liners.

You can view a cruise ship entering or leaving the harbour from the western end of Victoria Quay (for example, near the B Shed Ferry Terminal, on the wharf side of A and B Sheds or near the Maritime Museum) or on South or North moles. Non-passengers are not permitted inside the terminal during large ship visits due the large number of people disembarking/embarking.

View the Current Cruising Schedule or for passenger information, including security and baggage, visit or call the Cruise Line on +61 8 9430 3335. Visit for a list of cruises leaving, departing and visting Perth.

Once you have disembarked, it is just a short walk into the heart of Fremantle. Make sure to stop by the Fremantle Visitor Centre in Kings Square to pick up brochures, maps and information about exploring Fremantle's heritage and attractions.

All of Fremantle's attractions are within easy strolling distance or you can ride for free aboard the Central Area Transit (CAT) buses that run every 10-15 minutes throughout the day. The Fremantle Tram offers guided hop-on-hop-off tours of the Port city, stopping at all the must-see spots along the way. Or you can follow the self-guided walking trail - you find information at the visitor centre. You must:

  • Enjoy a coffee along the famous 'Cappuccino Strip'
  • Potter through the markets and be entertained by a local busker
  • Enjoy fresh fish & chips at Fishing Boat Harbour
  • Go underground on the fascinating Prison Tunnel tour
  • Visit the WA Maritime Museum and Fremantle Arts Centre
  • Sample boutique beer at one of the great microbreweries
  • Find fashion, great shopping, original artworks and quirky gifts.
